How we engage
Successful engagement is a two-way process. We seek to inform and educate stakeholders about our business. We also seek to understand their interests and concerns, solicit their suggestions and feedback, and to use this knowledge in making decisions about the course of our business.
Engagement takes many forms, including face to face meetings and community forums, independent stakeholder surveys, participation on community advisory committees and reaching out through web-based blogs and other company communications.
Our stakeholder programs are well-resourced and involve employees at all levels of our organization. Resolution Copper Mining's Five-Year Community Relations Plan, which is updated annually, serves as a baseline for our communication and interaction with our varied stakeholder audiences.
In August 2008, a working group of Resolution Copper employees conducted a detailed review of the company's varied stakeholders and developed a preliminary action plan to respond to their issues and concerns.
Review our 2008 list of stakeholders and how we engage with them.
