Leading by example

Achieving an injury-free workplace is dependant on the behavior and interaction of all who inhabit that workplace. Leadership behavior and commitment is particularly important to building a credible culture based on a genuine sense of caring about communities, employees, contractors and the environment.

At Resolution Copper, management is accountable for the company's safety culture. Managers participate in the Safety Leadership Development Program and must meet the performance requirements of our Health, Safety and Environmental Quality System. We're serious about safety, and effective safety leadership is a prerequisite for promotion. Managers at all levels are expected to lead by example, to make a conscious effort to engage employees and contractors, and to take action to ensure that safety protocols and safety interactions become a part of everyday working life at Resolution Copper.
