Our Workforce
Recognition, assistance and work-life balance
Recognizing and rewarding employees who make strong, consistent contributions to our company's success is a priority. In addition to offering highly competitive, merit-based salaries, a bonus system rewards employees who meet their goals and contribute to Resolution Copper's attainment of company-wide and individual performance targets. In addition, supervisors and department leads are encouraged to recognize individual and team performance.
A range of benefits also rewards those who join our company. New employees are granted vacation allocation based in part on prior years of experience at other companies that can directly benefit their performance at Resolution Copper. Other benefits include medical, dental and prescription drug coverage; life insurance; accidental death and dismemberment insurance; dependent life insurance; short and long-term disability insurance; an employee assistance plan; 401(k) savings plan; a pension plan; a stock purchase plan and educational reimbursement.
We recognize that a balance between quality of life and quality of work is essential to maintaining a healthy, satisfied and productive workforce. We also know that employees may intermittently have personal obligations that can impact their work schedule. Consequently, a range of company policies is designed to support work-life balance. For example, we offer the Wellness Testing and Incentive programs of our parent company, Rio Tinto. These initiatives guide and reward employees for taking positive steps toward maintaining good health. Learn more at www.myRegence.com.
When employees have personal obligations that may impact their work schedule, we endeavor to provide flexible alternatives to accommodate both personal and work demands. These may include temporary telecommuting arrangements and personal time off.
Resolution Copper also participates in Rio Tinto's comprehensive Employee Assistance program, a service designed to help employees and their families to effectively cope with a range of life challenges that may affect their emotional health, family or work life. Employees or any spouse or blood-relative living with the employee may call a toll-free number available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to speak with an intake specialist. Depending upon the issue, the caller will then be referred or directly connected to a consultant or counselor. Employees may also access services and information via an internet-based tool.
