Mine Plan of Operations

As promised, on November 15, 2013 Resolution Copper filed a Mine Plan of Operations with the U.S. Forest Service, which outlines our detailed plans to design, construct and operate a world-class mine in ways that are safe, protect the natural surroundings and the area’s unique cultural heritage and create sustainable benefits for the community. We are committed to forging strong partnerships with our neighbors and people who care about the mine, and the plan gives our stakeholders an important opportunity to participate in the permitting process.

The RCM mine plan is under completeness review by the US Forest Service. Minor discrepancies may exist between the version on our website and the working version under review by the US Forest Service due to the dynamic nature of the review process. A final version of the mine plan will be released to the public by the US Forest Service and RCM will direct the public to that version upon publication.

The Process and You

The MPO provides key information concerning all matters as they relate to the operation of a safe, responsible modern mine. The MPO was submitted to the U.S. Forest Service in 2013 and was deemed complete in 2014. The approved version of the plan must go through a comprehensive environmental review required by the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The NEPA process guarantees that there will be a number of opportunities for public review and comment.

The MPO can be viewed on the U.S. Forest Service website here.
