2024 Year End Review

As we close out 2024 and look forward to 2025, it’s a natural time for reflection and gratitude. At Resolution Copper, this year has been marked by significant progress, meaningful achievements, and a steadfast commitment to safety, collaboration, and sustainability. It’s thanks to our incredible team and community partners that we continue to advance this important project.

Progress and Milestones in 2024

In 2024, we formalized a pioneering Good Neighbor Agreement with communities in the Arizona Copper Triangle. This agreement is a commitment to a two-way dialogue that will provide both sides with a means to meet the needs and interests of citizens, protect the environment and communities, help drive the local economy, support regional infrastructure, and plan for anticipated growth. These milestones reaffirm our dedication to fostering transparency, mutual respect, and collaboration as we shape Resolution Copper’s future together. We have also made progress in restoring the Emory oak groves to increase acorn production with Tonto National Forest, Northern Arizona University and Western Apache Tribes in the Emory Oak Collaborative Tribal Restoration Initiative. These accomplishments reflect the strength of our team and our shared commitment to excellence and cultural preservation.

Commitment to Safety

Safety remains at the core of everything we do. In 2024, Resolution Copper was honored to receive the Rocky Mountain Mining Institute’s Safety Award for Small Underground Mines for the third consecutive year. This recognition underscores our unwavering focus on maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.

Commitment to Youth and Education

In 2024, supporting youth opportunities and education continued to be a priority for Resolution Copper. We were proud to connect with Indigenous high school student-athletes at the NABI Nation College and Career Fair, emphasizing pathways to higher education and career development. Our investment in local education expanded through partnerships with the Boyce Thompson Arboretum, contributing $750,000 to boost educational programs and continued support for kids and teachers in the region. We also continued to invest in local students and teachers through a $900,000 partnership with the Superior Unified School District to help provide the tools they need to advance their education and career aspirations. These efforts reflect our commitment to nurturing the next generation and strengthening our community connections.

Looking Ahead to 2025

As we look to 2025, I am filled with optimism and excitement about the opportunities that lie ahead with the local communities and Native American Tribes near our project. With our team’s expertise, determination, and collaborative spirit, I am confident we can navigate challenges, achieve new milestones, and continue driving our mission forward. Together, we will work toward a brighter future for our communities, stakeholders, and the copper industry.
