Community Engagement

Superior is more than where we work. It is our home.
Resolution Copper is committed to supporting the Copper Triangle by investing in people, education, and community partnerships. Our focus is simple: strengthen local communities today and help create opportunities for generations to come.

Investing in Local Communities

We support community wellbeing by partnering with local schools, businesses, nonprofits, and civic groups. From education and workforce training to volunteering and philanthropy, our efforts focus on long‑term local benefit across the Copper Triangle.

Empowering Future Generations

Education creates opportunity. We support local schools by investing millions in STEM and robotics programs, facility improvements, and youth and teacher development.

Since 2002, we have awarded more than $900,000 in scholarships to over 260 local students. Our scholarship program provides up to $3,000 to graduating high school seniors pursuing higher education, with an emphasis on mining, technical, and STEM‑related fields. Explore our scholarship program ›

Workforce Development and Apprenticeships

We work with Central Arizona College to build practical career pathways. Our three‑year apprenticeship program prepares students to safely operate and maintain on‑site equipment and infrastructure. Graduates have moved into in‑demand technical roles, including electricians, mechanics, welders, and environmental specialists. We also support the Superior Enterprise Center to help build a sustainable, locally rooted workforce.

Volunteering in the Community

Our employees give back where they live. Each year, more than 150 employees volunteer thousands of hours across the Copper Triangle. They serve on local boards, commissions, and nonprofits, supporting schools, first responders, youth programs, and community services in Superior, Globe, Miami, Kearny, Hayden, Winkelman, San Carlos, and nearby communities. See how our teams give back locally ›

Supporting Causes and Organizations

Our community support extends across education, workforce development, environmental stewardship, and cultural preservation. We partner with local organizations to protect natural resources, preserve local history, and expand access to training and education. These investments help individuals succeed while strengthening the broader community over the long term. Learn more about our giving and partnerships ›

New Water Recycling System Reduces Annual Use by One Million Gallons

April 8, 2026
A new Potable Water Recycling System is now operating on site, reducing water use by an estimated one million gallons per year. The system captures clean analyzer water and returns it to the plant for reuse, replacing water that was previously discharged onto the ground.

Reflecting on His Past, Bryan Mines a New Future

April 2, 2026
Bryan’s family is no stranger to mining. Born and raised in Globe, Bryan grew up watching his father and uncles work at the Magma Copper Mine. The industry was volatile at the time, and Bryan’s father was laid off three different times. Wanting a more stable path for his son, Bryan’s father encouraged him to do anything else for a living. Bryan followed that advice and decided to enroll at the University of Arizona, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in economic development.

Eight Years of Emory Oak Restoration and Cultural Stewardship

March 11, 2026
Across Arizona’s National Forests, Emory oak trees and the restoration of their groves support far more than wildlife and shade. For Western Apache communities, these trees provide acorns that are central to food traditions, ceremonies, and cultural practices that stretch back generations.

Resolution Copper in the Community: 2025 Recap

March 10, 2026
If there’s one thing 2025 proved, it’s this: engaging with the community isn’t a side project for us. Across the Copper Triangle and surrounding communities, Resolution Copper showed up in hundreds of ways, big and small. Some days it looked like volunteers packing food bags. Other days it looked like robotics kits in classrooms, filling sandbags, or youth baseball teams taking the field.

Inside Our Underground Concrete Work on 68L

February 23, 2026
At Resolution Copper, we recently completed a major upgrade on 68L, one of the key levels deep in our underground system. The work was a collaboration between our team, Redpath, and Oddonetto, and it is a good window into what it takes to build strong mining infrastructure before full operations begin.
