Resolution Copper Awards $51,000 in Scholarships to 20 Local Students

Resolution Copper is proud to announce the recipients of its 2026 Scholarship Program, awarding 20 scholarships totaling $51,000 to outstanding students from communities across the Copper Triangle.

The annual scholarship program reflects Resolution Copper’s ongoing commitment to supporting education and investing in the future of the communities where its employees live and work. By helping students pursue higher education and skilled trades, the program aims to create opportunities that strengthen families, communities and Arizona’s future workforce.

This year’s awards include:

  • 13 General Scholarships valued at $3,000 each
  • 3 Industrial Trade Scholarships valued at $3,000 each
  • 2 Rickus Scholarships valued at $1,000 each
  • 2 Besich Family Scholarships valued at $500 each

Scholarship recipients represent schools across the Copper Triangle region and neighboring communities, including Apache Junction, Fort Thomas, Globe, Hayden, Miami, Ray, San Carlos, San Manuel and Superior.

Since the scholarship program began in 2002, Resolution Copper has awarded scholarships to more than 280 local students, investing a total of $952,000 in educational opportunities throughout the region.

  • Ray High School: Julissa Garcia
  • Hayden High School: Abrianna Rose Torrez, Tyler Garner, Augustin Lorona

Additional scholarship recipients will be added upon confirmation of the complete 2026 recipient list.
