Good Luck Scholarship Students
With school starting this month across the State of Arizona, Resolution Copper wishes our fifteen 2023 scholarship recipients good luck as they begin their collegiate careers at Central Arizona College, Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, Pima Community College, University of Arizona, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical, Grand Canyon University, and Universal Technical Institute. Resolution Copper is extremely proud to support students pursuing their educational goals throughout the Copper state. To date, Resolution Copper has awarded more than $850,000 to over 200 local students through its scholarship program since 2002, including $38,000 in 2023.
Resolution Copper’s scholarship program provides up to $3,000 in financial assistance to local graduating high school seniors to pursue higher education while encouraging students of promise to explore career opportunities in the mining industry and related fields centered on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Resolution selects qualified students from both local high schools and Native American Tribes.
“Resolution Copper and Arizona depend on the next generation of STEM professionals to realize our state’s full potential,” said Dave Richins, Senior Manager of Communities and Social Performance. “We are thrilled to continue awarding deserving students in the communities in which we operate.”
This is just one of Resolution Copper’s many initiatives that promote STEM education in the community. Resolution Copper has supported the Superior Unified School District for years and recently established a three-year apprenticeship program at Central Arizona College, creating post-graduation opportunities for participants.
Resolution Copper looks forward to seeing this year’s class of scholars excel in the next step of their educational journey and continuing to promote STEM education in the community.
