A Day in the Life: Brad Lupe, Tribal Liaison

At Resolution Copper, every team member has a story, and today, we’re proud to share the journey of Brad Lupe, a Tribal Liaison who is making a lasting impact on communities across Arizona. Brad’s work is driven by a deep connection to his heritage, his upbringing on the White Mountain Apache Reservation, and his commitment to creating opportunities for tribal youth.

Rooted in Tradition, Focused on the Future
Brad Lupe grew up on his family’s ranch in Seven Mile, part of the Fort Apache Indian Reservation. It was there, among horses and wide-open spaces, that he learned the values of responsibility and resilience. From a young age, he was immersed in ranching, a tradition passed down through generations of his family.

“Horses taught me more than just riding,” Brad shares. “They taught me patience, communication, and how to navigate challenges—lessons I carry with me in my work today.”

Brad also developed a love for beadwork, an art form central to Apache culture. From creating intricate designs for rodeo gear to traditional accessories, Brad finds beadwork to be both a creative outlet and a way to stay connected to his heritage.

Bridging Communities and Opportunities
As a Tribal Liaison, his role involves collaborating with tribal communities to update them on the project’s progress, exploring ways to support community initiatives, and providing resources like scholarships for Native youth.
“My job allows me to give back to the communities that shaped me,” Brad explains. “I help educate people about mining and the opportunities it can bring, while also respecting and preserving our cultural heritage.”

Through his efforts, Brad fosters meaningful connections between Resolution Copper and tribal communities, emphasizing the importance of education, economic development, and environmental stewardship.

A Legacy of Connection
For Brad, his work is more than a job—it’s a way to honor his ancestors while building a brighter future for his community.

“I feel privileged to work in a role that connects my heritage with opportunities for growth and progress,” he says. “It’s about bridging the past and the future, and I’m proud to be a part of that journey.”

As Brad continues his work with Resolution Copper, his story serves as a powerful reminder of the impact one person can have when they lead with purpose and heart.
