$2 Billion Invested for a Smarter, Stronger Copper Future
At Resolution Copper, we’ve reached a major milestone: over $2 billion invested in developing and permitting one of the most important copper projects in the United States. This number tells a bigger story — one of progress, partnerships, and purpose.
It reflects decades of:
- Hundreds of environmental and cultural heritage studies to help ensure the land, water, and ecosystems are protected for generations to come.
- Extensive community conversations and Tribal consultations, resulting in agreements that support cultural preservation, youth programs, and economic opportunity.
- Workforce development, with nearly 90% of our current workforce living in the Copper Triangle—contributing directly to the region’s vitality and quality of life.
- Community investment—in 2024 alone, $136 million was spent on the project, with 37% invested within 40 miles of the site.
We’ve also supported:
- Local schools, small businesses, and Tribal agreements with over $2.87 million invested in Q1 2025 alone. In 2024, $4.9 million was invested in the community, supporting education and youth programs, economic, workforce and business development and cultural heritage preservation initiatives.
- A $900,000 education partnership with the Superior Unified School District.
- Multi-year cultural agreements with Tribal Nations focused on land stewardship and job creation.
- $750,000 investment in Boyce Thompson Arboretum’s educational programs
- Local supplier development, with businesses like 2K Industrial, Superior Environmental Solutions, Oddonetto Construction, and 4Winds Contracting growing alongside the project.
- Multi-year economic development agreements with the Town of Superior and Rebuild Superior Inc, focused on economic diversification, tourism and marketing, capacity building, and community resilience; totaling over $2.5M since 2023.
- Completed a $75 million restoration and reclamation project of 475 acres of land impacted by close to a century of historic impacts from the Magma Copper Mine near the Town of Superior.
This $2 billion isn’t just capital — it’s a reflection of our commitment to responsible development, long-term environmental stewardship, creating good-paying jobs, growing Arizona’s economy, and strengthening energy security through clean-tech supply chains.
We’re not just building a mine. We’re building a future powered by copper — sustainably, responsibly, and in collaboration with the people who live here. And we’re just getting started.
