Resolution Copper and United Association Local 469 Enter into Master Supply Agreement Supporting Operations in Arizona

SUPERIOR, AZ (July 1, 2026) – Resolution Copper has entered into a Master Supply Agreement with Johnson Controls Inc. and the United Association Local 469 (U.A. Local 469), establishing a framework for ongoing facility maintenance and operational support services at the project site. Under the Project Labor Agreement, members of the Plumbing and Pipefitters union, affiliated with the Arizona Building Trades Council, will support the project’s on-site maintenance needs.

“The Arizona Building and Construction Trades Council supports agreements between Resolution Copper and its contractors that create long-term job opportunities for Arizona workers consistent with the Resolution Copper Project Labor Agreement,” stated Jason Sangster, President of the Arizona Building Trades Council. “Skilled jobs are essential for producing U.S. copper and meeting our nation’s growing critical mineral and energy demands.”

The agreement enables U.A. Local 469 to provide preventative and full maintenance services on critical infrastructure systems, including chillers, air handlers, and packaged units that support underground ventilation. Work will be executed through individual scopes of work over the term of the agreement, which runs through April 2030, with options to extend, reinforcing a long-term commitment to safe, reliable, and efficient site operations, operational excellence, and partnership.

Resolution Copper represents a major brownfield redevelopment of a historic underground copper mine in Arizona’s Copper Triangle. The project has the potential to become one of the largest domestic sources of copper in the United States, supporting modern infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, and national defense while contributing approximately $1 billion annually to Arizona’s economy and creating thousands of local jobs in a region where mining has been central to communities for more than a century.

As demand for copper continues to grow, responsible domestic production plays a critical role in strengthening U.S. supply chains. Investments in long-term operational partnerships, such as this agreement with the U.A. Local 469, will help ensure that projects like Resolution Copper can operate safely, efficiently, and reliably while supporting local economies.
